BIG Bambino Bougainvillea in Huge Terracotta pots: Variety – Zulu, Purple

These are wonderful statement pot plants for the terrace, or other areas in the sun.
Zulu is a stunning plant when covered with its purple bracts and flower. The flowers are persistent; at most times you can find flowers on the plant and the leaves are a deep green. The purple flowers cover the bushes. The plant looks great in sunny situations.
Pots: Large Decorative Terracotta, 52cm High, 55cm diameter across the top. Wonderful Patina.
Plant in pot: 1.30m Wide and 1.05m High. Sizes are approx.
Care: A sunny position is preferred for the best flowering but most of them will grow in part shade but in that position they will flower less. A slow release fertilizer that is high in Potash is recommended for use. Applications in spring, summer and autumn should be sufficient. Mulching to keep the soil cool and moist is beneficial.
These are mature plants; I have been growing them for at least 6 years. They have been repotted many times over this period into progressively bigger pots.
Personally I love the way they cascade over the pots, particularly lovely when in flower. But they can be pruned to shape.
